At the Press Conference for the 70th anniversary of the Importers and Exporters Association of Taipei (IEAT), the IEAT signed alliance agreements with important global trade & economic organizations and displayed its prowess in international connections.

Mr. John C.T. Huang, Chairman of IEAT, addressed the press conference and shared IEAT's efforts and vision in establishing and maintaining ties with IEAT's international sister organizations.

At the Global Trade Forum, home and overseas authoritative specialists/scholars were invited to share their in-depth analysis and vision-expanding exploration for Taiwanese companies.

Present at the launch ceremony for the "Strategic Alliance, Global Deployment" were Mr. Chen Chien-jen, R.O.C. Vice President, IEAT's Honorary Chairman, Mr. Sheng-hsiung Hsu, Mr. John C.T. Huang, Chairman of IEAT and representatives from sister organizations from all over the world.
Mr. Chen Chien-jen, R.O.C. Vice President, stated in his opening remarks that in face of rapidly changing economic trends, Taiwanese companies should forsake their former stance of doing business alone and embrace strategic alliance to tap into the global market.

Mr. Vikrom Kromadit, CEO, AMATA Corporation Public Co. Ltd., Thailand, explored business opportunities with ASEAN economies.
Mr. Sheng-hsiung Hsu, Chairman, Chinese National Federation of Industries, gave his analysis on the cross-strait economic & trade relationships from the previous collaboration, next the collaborative competition to the current competition today and on how to further maintain a stable cross-strait development, all views well worth pondering on.
Mr. Chui-cheng Chiu, Deputy Minister, Mainland Affairs Council, Executive Yuan, advised that Taiwan and Mainland China should complement each other according to each other's strengths in order to develop win-win strategies.
