FEBRUARY Riojano arrives as a synthesis of the party spirit of this town, which finds its maximum expression during this month, when the Grape Harvest and the Chaya bewitch the soul. It is the time of year when the combination of work and celebration reaches its maximum expression. It is the period of time in which the people of La Rioja celebrate Mother Nature, collect its fruits and turn them into food for dreams and desires. Every February the spirit of La Rioja is reborn in earth, flour and Carnival with a desire for freedom. That is why with February an illusion is always born.

AMINGA: A LITTLE HISTORY
In the heart of the Costa Riojana, on National Route 75, Aminga grows, a town with deep-rooted traditions and culture. It is one of the ten towns that the Diaguitas founded on the coast of Velazco next to the rivers that flow down from this hill. The old Aminga winery was the scene of a time of prosperity and a promising future in the creation of wines. The poet Julio César Bazán brilliantly painted that time in the famous "Zambita pa' don Rosendo" that immortalized the great Jorge Cafrune.

After almost 40 years of silence, thanks to the initiative of the government of La Rioja, it was recovered through a SAPEM and put into operation again under the administration of Mr. Raúl Chacón. In this way, Aminga not only recovers an emblematic space of its history, but also offers its inhabitants a job option in the town. The task of making the wine in its comprehensive planning is carried out by the oenologist Gustavo Ottaviani. For the renovation of the winery, investment was made in epoxy-covered pools, in presses, pneumatic pumps, and state-of-the-art Italian technology following world quality standards. This union of human and technical forces allows the production of high-end wines in an artisanal way, a luxury that makes those who carry out the project proud. The winery has the capacity to produce 1 million liters and 200 thousand liters of fermentation capacity.
GEOGRAPHICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE AMINGA VALLEY.

Aminga, like all the towns on the Coast, is a place blessed by Nature with the richness of the soil and water. Being located in the foothills gives it one of the best soils for making high-altitude wines. The valley is located at 290 latitude and 1,450 meters above sea level, which allows for high thermal variation, sandy soils, relative humidity of no more than 30 percent, and light and permanent winds that guarantee excellent plant health.
